Children’s Author Andee Cooper

Meet the Author

Andee Cooper’s son, Kannon, was diagnosed with epilepsy, more specifically Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, at the age of three.  His struggles in school inspired her to write her first book, the children’s picture book Sometimes I Get the Wiggles, in hopes of providing teachers a tool that they could use in the classroom to bridge the gap between students with epilepsy and those without.

A member of the Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome
Foundation of New York, Andee is an ambassador for the foundation and active in the Epilepsy Foundation of Oklahoma, serving on the EFO Advisory Committee.

The special services team leader for the Community Action Project in Tulsa, she and Kannon live in northeastern Oklahoma, where they can be found on weekends spending time with family and friends or on the local tennis court.  Mother and son also share a love for the mountains of Colorado.
